The design process.

Three levels of design services are available:

Verbal property consult.

For those seeking some initial guidance on direction for their property, this walk and talk with a follow up report will get you started on your permaculture journey.

Includes:

• On-site visit of 1-2 hours including a discussion on your plans and goals for your land, a site walk and assessment.

• Off-site research and a follow up summary report provided.

Cost: $450.
(If you choose to progress onto a concept or complete design following this session, 50% of this cost will be contributed to your design work.)

Concept design.

For those seeking a tailored assessment on where to position various elements of the garden and would like the main context of a permaculture design without the full detail, this is a more budget-friendly design option, while still providing the most essential elements to get started.

Includes:

• A pre-visit email Q&A to help us find out more about you, your property, your vision.

• On-site visit of 1-2 hours including a meeting with you at start and end, and a solo walk and site assessment.

• Concept sketch provided on aerial map and brief site analysis report provided, with resources on plantings and approaches for implementation.

• A follow up email or phone call to answer any questions regarding the concept design.

Cost: $1350

Complete design.

The full service, resulting in a complete permaculture garden design that is a master plan for your property, with all the detail to help you progress and implement immediately.

Includes:

• A pre-visit email Q&A to help us find out more about you, your property, your vision.

• On-site visit of 1-4 hours including a meeting with you at start and end, and a solo walk for site assessment and analysis and measurements for an accurate to-scale base map.

• Provide a draft concept sketch on to-scale base map.

• Another meeting with you to discuss and gain feedback and changes on draft concept design.

• A detailed hand-drawn final design in plan view and detailed site analysis report provided, with complete planting plans and design details. Also provided are resources and recommendations on organisations and business to assist with all facets of next steps for implementation.

Cost: $2350-3250 (dependent on property size, scope of design work, hours on-site required).

Additional services + fees.

• Adaptive consultancy - we can work with you to help adapt the design as it is implemented, helping you to lay out the design on-site and engage in next steps.

• Soil testing - for heavy metals, soil quality and mineral levels

• Fees apply for travel extending beyond Huon Valley and Hobart municipalities.
