Hello!

Rising Landsape is primarily me, Emma Bowen. My background is in permaculture, gardening, urban farming, design and community engagement, and most recently I was founder and manager of Pocket City Farms, a quarter-acre urban farm in the centre of Sydney, that provided organic produce and education to the local community.

In 2020 our young family made the move to Tasmania, and these days, you can find me residing on Rising Farm, a 50-acre former apple orchard in the enchanting Huon Valley. Here, I'm in the early stages of returning the farm to food production through development of a permaculture orchard, as I build upon my passion for sustainable agriculture on a larger scale.

I’m deeply passionate about living well, mindfully and among inspiring productive green spaces. I firmly believe in the transformative power of gardens and the value they bring to our physical and mental well-being, whether they are nestled in rural areas or flourishing amidst urban landscapes, and whether they are small home patches of paradise or large scale corporate and community green spaces. Reach out if you think I can help you with yours!
